antique compact

this is an old European powder compact it has a flap inside that opens which I believe held powder for face it is brass colored I have no idea of the metal I have not cleaned it because I didn't want to change it it's a very old unusual piece and definitely a collector's item can be seen in Palm Springs by appointment
